I absolutely love boots! Tall, shiny and calf hugging boots are the best. It's one of my more recent fetishes but I've definitely become a boot lovin' boy that goes crazy over a guy wearing them.
Interstingly, there are only certain types of boots that really do it for me. These include black army combat boots, tall leather riding boots (BLUF style) and of course the skinhead and punk favourites; Doc Martins and Grinders etc. I think there is a real sense of masculinity which evades from them. The strength of the leather, the height up the calf and the laces tightly binding them to the feet. I suppose there are strong tones of military dicipline and order that enhance their hyper-masculine effect.
High street fashion has been churning out all sorts of different boot styles and vintage work boots. Many with distressed leather and although I sort of like the look of these with some guys, in my mind, they just can't compete with solid, sturdy tall boots. Boot you can really get your tongue around.
I've recently starting wearing boots and braces more casually and after buying a pair of 14 hole Doc Martins I'm hooked. I've also found I'm getting into a sort of ritualistic approach to polishing them and realy getting them to shine. Infact, the history of polishing or "bootblacking" is interesting. One of the greatest appeals about tall boots is how horny it can be to lick them. Boot licking seems such a submissive act, both to the the guy on his knees and anyone watching.
